Sweatshirt Parody

Author’s Note: This is a parody poem that I wrote that is like “This is Just to Say”. But my parody is about a scene in the “Hunger Games” by: Suzanne Collins.
I have stolen
the sweatshirt
that you were wearing
because I was cold

And you were probably
Going to wear it
the next day to keep warm

Forgive me
It was comfy
And warm
i’m sorry Peeta

It relates to the story the Hunger Games because there was this one night during the games, Katniss had to borrow Peeta's sweatshirt because it was cold out and they both could have frooze to death. Katniss is the one speaking because she is telling this to Peeta. Peeta would then be the audience. The tone is very innocent and guilty. The mood of this parody would be selfishness.
