Madi's Hair
Madi's hair is very beautiful. It is very curly and everyone asks her if she gets a perm, but it is naturally curly. She use to have it really long. One day last year she came to school with her hair really short. The color of her hair is blonde. Also one time she straightened her hair and everyone didn't know it was her. She looks good with straight hair too. I really like madi's hair and wish I had her hair.

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins
What would happen if one day you saw a lady that was floating down through the clouds with an umbrella? The title of this story is “Mary Poppins by P.L Travers”. In the story the children are looking for a nanny. So Mary Poppins becomes their nanny and takes them on many adventures. The story Mary Poppins by P.L Travers is highly unrealistc, there is lots of symbolism, and follows the romance plotline.
Mary Poppins is Romance because of the plot line. The first thing that happens is their old Nanny leaves because the childeren are very bad.Then Mary Poppins becomes the new nanny and teaches the kids to be better childeren for her. Another part of the plotline that fits in with Romance plotline is at the end of the story Mr. Banks, the dad becomes happier. Before that Mr. Banks is very strict and the children believed that when they went to town with him that he did’t like them anymore. It turns out that when they get home they find their dad very cheerful and happy to see them.
Symbolism is also very important in a story. Symbolism is something very cheerful and happy. For example the doves that were in the park flying around Bert and Mary. That shows symbolism because it is happy and doves are one of the animals for romance. Also when they were in the park together it was very natural and lots of natural colors. When Bert and Mary were walking in the park it was very green and very happy colors. Also it was very bright and sunny where they were.
Lastly, this story is very unrealistic. When Mary can slides up and down the railing. I believe that there is some magic that Mary Poppins can use. Also when Bert and Mary went to the park there were many animated farm animals. If you saw this movie you would know from the start that this is a very nonrealistic story.
This story is Romance. Mary Poppins followed the plotline and there was lots of symbolism. Although, you might think that it is a comedy the story is highly unrealistic so therefore this story is a romance story.

Morgan
Morgan is going to be moving back and I am so excited. She is moving to our school in three weeks. Morgan went to our school until 3rd grade and then she moved to Maryland. She wants to move back so bad because she got bullied at her old school and she had not many friends. I am so excited for her moving back! And she is going to be on our soccer team! She is going to be here in 14 days from today!!!

Two Rivers
There is a really mean team called two rivers. On there team there is a girl that is very tall and is very, very, very BIG! Another girl on there team is there point guard who I had to guard and was very dramatic. I still have a bump on my head from her. She fell to the floor and i was just standing there watching her cry. I was the most hurt and the guy didn't even give me a ice pack!!! So then later in the game we were losing by 3 points and there was four seconds left and Jennie made a three pointer at the last second to win the game!!! We were so happy! I hope we get to play them again so that we can beat them by a lot more than 1 point. About the girl who was very tall. I had to jump against her and i won the jump because she was so tall that she didn't even jump so I out jumped a girl that was probably over six feet tall. In one part of the game Ashley had to guard her it was pretty funny because Ashley was only up to her stomach!! I really hope we play them again!

Windy day
It was a windy day when the man crossed the road and went into the bus station. This man was the richest man in the city. He lived in a mansion on the other side of town. No one knew why he had ventured over to this part. This rich man was wearing a leather coat with an expensive satin shirt. He had on new, clean boots with washed and ironed church pants. Many people never talked to him on the poor side of town because he never visits this side of town. People on the poor side of the city only referred to him as ‘the rich man.’
A little girl was not scared of anything. She is ten years old and very, very brave. It was a law that no one would speak to the ‘rich man’ unless he spoke to you first. So she went up to him and said, “Why are you here on the poor side of town?”
Everyone just looked at her like why did she do that? People were in awe, because no one has ever done that before. Surprisingly she was not sent to jail. To the rich man who was technically the ruler of the town thought that if you would speak to him first that was considered rude.
Everyone in the crowd of people watching to see what the rich man would say next. All he said was “I do not know.” Normally he would always underestimate everyone on the poor side because that if you were poor you were bad or ugly. After the little girl had asked the question inside he felt sad because this whole time he was in charge he was mean cruel to the poor people. He thought that only the wealthier people were good, but that day he figured out that being not poor doesn’t make you a bad person.
Seconds later she was still there just staring up at him and he answered.
“Why do you ask young lady?” he said
“I was just wondering why you came over here.” She answered.
He looked over at everyone and answered her question in front of everyone.
“I am over here because I was asked to see how you people lived like and now I realize that it is very terrible and should help get you money and clean clothes. Also I will get you better food and bigger and cleaner homes. I would also like to apologize for not helping you and just hurting you.”
After he was done making his big speech everyone was very happy that he was actually going to do that for them.
So, weeks later the poor and the rich side of town made up their differences and became happy and clean and rich. Now everyone was happy, healthy and rich.

waterskiing!
My favorite sport is waterskiing. I started when I was in first grade. Right now I slalom ski. Which means you go on one ski. I love how when the boat turns and you let go and glide across the water. This summer I learned how to get up on 1 ski. It only took me 1 try. My brother learned how to go on two skies this summer. He tried when he was in 1st or 2nd grade but he got scared. So I kind of made him try this year too. The last time I went skiing I went on labor day and went with my friend Daily. It is really fun going double with someone, but we almost ran into each other. The most times I went around the lake is three times. After the second lap around the lake your back starts to hurt. I really love to waterski!

Halloween Dance
Tonight is the Halloween Dance. I am so excited. I am going to the dance with some friends. I am going to be a hippie. There are lots of dances that happen during middle school. I am so glad that I am in middle school this year. I remember last year at the end of the year, the 6th graders were invited to the last dance of the year. I went and it was so fun. All of my friends were there too. I really hope that I will have fun tonight. There has already been one dance but I wasn't able to go because we had a soccer tournie. I am just glad that I am able to go tonight!

Basketball
Basketball is the best sport ever. I love it so much. I am on the one of the select teams. Last year are team got 2nd in state. We lost by 1 point. Last year in league we won. We were able to win to a very good team. That team was Waukesha West. There is one team that we have never beat and that is Sussex Hamilton. Then again we only played them 2 times. I also play school ball. On my school ball team are…
Jennie, Madi , Kristie, Jessie Sklener, Taylor, Ashley, Katie, Carson, Hannah Michleson, Courtney, Dani, me, and Nicole. Are team has to leave school early because are team is playing in Slinger. I really hope we win!!!!

Patriotism
Does Patriotism Still matter?
Does Patriotism still matter to you? To many people it does but, to others it might not. Patriotism still matters to me because if there was no Patriotism no one would have pride in our country. Although, Patriotism has decreased in the past it still matters because why would we still be here if no one had patriotism.
Our country still has patriotism because a lot of people in the United States are fighting for our country right now. The people that are fighting are risking their live for the others that aren’t fighting for our country. The citizens that are fighting for us right now are fighting not just to fight, but they love our country so much. Most people have family members that are helping out our country. I have a cousin that has been in the battle three times. Now that is scary going to bed at night thinking “Is he going to be ok and is he going to come home soon”? Imagine if one of your parents were in the battle. How would you feel?
Although, there are a lot of people that are fighting for our country right now, the people that are not show lots of pride. One way we show pride is at school. Every morning, everybody stands up and says the Pledge of Allegiance. We do this because we are trying to show our patriotism for our country. The schools in the United States are very patriotic by saying the pledge of allegiance.
So many people show patriotism! If no one had patriotism our country wouldn’t be as strong as it is today. Even though people don’t have patriotism there is a good amount of people that do. Lots of the Veterans and soldiers have patriotism. If there was no patriotism in our country then why would we still be fighting for our country in the war? Patriotism still does matter!
